Ingredients:
4-5 medium/large bitter gourd
1 medium onion chopped
1 fresh green chilly chopped
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
Oil for frying and tempering
Salt to taste
Recipe:
1. Wash and chop the ends of the bitter gourd.
2. Cut the gourd in round thin slices.
3. Cut thin slices of whole medium to large onion.
4. In preheated oil, fry the gourd on both sides till they are crisp.
5. Splutter cumin seeds in the center of the pan.
6. Add onion, turmeric, coriander powder, salt and stir.
7. Cook the vegetable till it softens. Cover with lid and add 1/4 cup water as needed.
8. Serve with warm rotis and enjoy.
