Homemade potato fries

Fresh fries are family favorites. Every time my kid feels like having the fries the kid in me is equally interested and excited to enjoy the fries with hot sauce and ketchup and how about some hot chai....the best feeling in the world! You, like me, are here on this page because either you or someone at your home cannot wait to get their hands on these addictive snack. One evening I was babysitting my friend's kid and I asked if the kids were hungry and would like to eat something. Instantly the reply was- Yes and item on the menu was French fries. Great! I thought! Fries are supereasy! Either I can go get them or maybe how about cooking at home-fresh and healthy! (I know, I know....fries and healthy!!! ) Maybe cooking at home in that fresh oil that was not reused to cook batches and batches of fries is I guess healthy. That debate that can left after reading the link- using re-fried oil here

If you came back after reading on that link, here is what I did next. I instantly got on to making fries and served with ketchup. The kids ABSOLUTELY loved it! I decided to share the recipe below and if you liked the recipe, thought it was so easy or got motivated to get into kitchen and cut those potatoes into fries, don't forget to share, like and comment!!!

Ingredients:
3-4 peeled potatoes
Oil for deep frying
Salt

Recipe:

1. Peel the potatoes and wash with water.

2. Remove excess water on the potatoes and cut the potatoes length wise into thin slices.
3. Deep fry the slices in hot oil in small batches. Cook on both sides evenly.

4. When the fries are done, remove and drain the excess oil on tissue paper lined container.

5. The above batch of fries will be cooked but not crisp. To make them crisp refry the above batch once more in oil.

6. Cook thoroughly on both sides, drain excess oil and remove the fries. Sprinkle with salt and serve with ketchup and hot chai.
