About me

Welcome to a place of delicious homemade meals using natural ingredients, fresh vegetables and fruits in your own kitchen with easy, quick recipes.

Welcome to the homemade happiness!!

Hi there!
Thanks for visiting my blog. My blog is my pleasurable time off from my other creative job as a research scientist. Cooking is an integral part of life. I say that because either we cook for ourselves or we buy food precooked. As a child, I fortunately had wonderful cooks in my parents. It was a pleasure to watch them cooking meals, pickles, jellies, smoothies, bread, spices...the list is endless. That is where I got the true essence of homemade cooking.

The fresh aroma of homemade spices blended from home dried and individually picked components opened my mind to world of possibilities. The variety of fresh vegetables and fruits at different times of the year coincided with the changing seasons. That meant enjoy the fruits while they last in the market or else they will not be around until the following year! That used to be a tempting and well deserved wait for some of the favorite fruits and vegetables. The most interesting part was to make the vegetables part of as many recipes in as many different ways as possible. The only thing needed was curiosity. Sure enough the time and effort would follow!

Nevertheless now I am filling those shoes, its my time to shop those fresh vegetables and fruits and cook meals. In doing so, I want to be fair and feel content at heart about what I serve. My blog is a platform to share my effort in the kitchen with goals of inspiring the unmotivated and sharing ideas with those who already are cooking. I believe in cooking recipes that bring out the natural flavors of the food and simple enough to fit in the time schedule of our daily busy lives. After all simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

Thanks to the internet we can enter each others kitchen, look at the recipes we like and share thoughts and comment on them. While you have taken time to enter my kitchen, like a wonderful host I invite you to come again, follow, like, post comments, and share my recipes as much as I would like to know about what's cooking in your kitchen!

Best,
Recipeslifetraditions
Note: By the way if you wondered about my blog name- my plans are to expand it to include recipes, life experiences and traditions and cultures of the world. I think these three things are unique to a culture, community and an individual. I start with the things that are unique to me.

A research scientist by profession I am used to writing protocols, making observations and keeping record. I found a big deal of commonality between cooking and working in a lab. So I extended my passion of science into kitchen and thought of the blog:

as an opportunity to help anyone who desires to cook but do not know where and how to start. That does not imply that I am an expert cook, my blog is a platform for motivating the uninspired and idea sharing for those who cook already. I believe in cooking simple recipes that bring out the flavors of the food while retaining the nutritious aspect and also fitting in the time schedule of our daily busy lives. After all simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. - See more at: http://recipeslifetraditions.blogspot.com/#sthash.YG82GDEq.dpuf
