Fried okra (fried bhindi)


Ingredients:
1 medium chopped onion
300 gram Okra finely chopped
1 chopped green chilly
2 tablespoon ginger
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp red chilly powder
Pinch Asafoetida
2-3 Tblspoon oil
Salt to taste

Method:
1. Wash okra with water, dry the okra by wiping with cloth or tissue.

2. To preheated oil splutter cumin seeds.

3. Add chopped ginger.

4. Roast the ginger till brown. Saute chopped onion.

5. Add asafoetida, salt, turmeric powder.

6. To the sauteed onions add chopped okra, cook till the okra softens. Cover the okra with lid if required. Add lemon juice when cooked. Serve with fresh rotis, yummmmy!
