Leek onions side


Ingredients:
A bunch of leek
1-2 diced potatoes, skin removed
1-2 tomatoes
1 tbsp ginger
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp turmeric powder
Pinch of Asafoetida powder (optional)
1 tsp garam masala(optional)
Salt to taste

Recipe:
1. Thoroughly clean the leeks. They have lot of mud within the whirled leaves, ensure that it is clean and free of mud.

2. Dice the leeks and potatoes.

3. Chop the tomatoes and ginger (or make paste)

4. In preheated oil splutter the cumin seeds.

5. Add asafoetida (optional) and ginger.

6. Now add chopped potatoes. Cook until soft by covering with lid.

7. Add tomatoes, garam masala (optional).

8. Now add chopped leeks and stir. Mix and cook covered with lid on simmer till the leeks soften.

Enjoy the leeks as a side with your meal or with roti.
