Ingredients:
Makes 16-17 medium ladoos
1/2 cup ghee
1.5-2 cup ladoo besan (gram flour)
Upto 1 cup granulated sugar (depending on the desired sweetness)
1 tbsp powdered cardamon
2-3 tbsp finely chopped almonds
Recipe:
1. Melt the ghee in open pan.
2. Roast the besan powder in the ghee by evenly mixing.
3. The powder consistency of the besan slowly starts to change and it all starts to come together.
4. Very soon the ghee starts oozing out and a nice aroma fills the kitchen that is when the besan is completely cooked. The total time is about 15-20 minutes. Important step is to keep mixing to avoid besan sticking to the bottom of the pan and for even cooking.
5. Turn off the burner. Add granulated sugar, chopped almonds and cardamon powder. Mix well.
6. Let the dough cool a little and then start rolling out ladoos. Enjoy. Store in dry airtight container, remains fresh at room temperature for few weeks or store in refrigerator for extended time and serve warm.
