1/2 raw mango cut into cubes
6-7 drum sticks
1 cup yellow toor lentil dal
For tempering:
Oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 pinch asafoetida
3-4 curry leaves
1 finely chopped green chilly
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilly powder
Salt to taste
Recipe:
1. Pressure cook the lentil dal with mango cubes and drum sticks with 2-2.5 cup water about 3-4 whistles (10 minutes).
2. In the mean time prepare the tempering: To preheated oil add mustard, cumin seeds and above tempering ingredients. Mix the tempering to the cooked dal.
3.Mix the tempering and daal and garnish with washed and chopped cilantro leaves.
4. Enjoy with warm rice and pickle.
