Gobi aloo (Cauliflower potato side)






Ingredients:
Medium size washed cauliflower floret
1 medium finely chopped onion
2-3 finely chopped tomato
1 tbsp ginger
3-4 garlic cloves
1-2 green chilly

Spices:
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp red chilly powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp cumin seeds
Salt to taste
Finely chopped cilantro for garnishing.

Recipe:
1. Cut the cauliflower floret and wash in a strainer.
2. Chop onions, tomatoes, ginger and garlic, green chilly.
3. In a mixer, finely grind the above ingredients.
4. To preheated oil, let the cumin seeds splutter. 
5. Add the tomato-onion paste. To the mixture also add spices and salt.
6. Roast till oil oozes out of the mixture.
7. Add the cauliflower floret to the masala.
8. Cover and cook till soft. Add up to 1/2 cup water if needed. Stir every now and then to avoid scalding. Garnish with cilantro leaves. Serve with roti.
