Ingredients
6-7 peeled, sliced apples
1-2 semi raw mangoes
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp red chilly powder
1-2 tsp ginger paste
2-3 dried red chilly
1 stick cinnamon or 1 tsp cinnamon powder

1. Dice the apples and mangoes into small pieces. Grate the ginger,
2. To the preheated oil, add cumin seeds. On spluttering of cumin seeds, add cinnamon stick, ginger, whole red chilly and red chilly powder.
3. When the ginger turns golden brown, add the apples and mangoes.
4. Add 1/2 cup water. Cover and let it cook for about 10 mins with intermittent mixing.
5. When the apples and mangoes are soft the chutney is ready. The apples and mangoes will still be in chunks. Smash it with the vegetable smasher to get a paste consistency. Enjoy spicy chutney spoonful with your meal, with puri or with besan pancake, bread pakora.
6. Store in refrigerator. Stores fresh for a week.
