Ingredients:
6-7 small-medium bitter gourd
1 small grated onion
1 green chilly
1-2 tbsp cumin coriander powder
1-2 tbsp dried mango powder (amchur
1 tsp turmeric powder
Dried pomegranate seeds (anaar dana)
Salt to taste
Recipe:
Wash bitter gourd (karela) and chop the both the ends. |
Scrape the skin of the karela. |
Add salt, dry mango powder (amchur), tumeric, pomegranate seeds, cumin-coriander powder. |
Add grated onion to the spice mix. |
Mix the spices and onion. Prepare small portions of the mixture same as the number of the gourds. |
Enjoy roasted karela with roti and with pakora kadhi and rice. The combination of karela- kadhi is out of this world. Very yummy! |
