1/2 bunch fresh spinach leaves
1/2 inch ginger
1/2 medium onion finely chopped
1 tsp ajwain seeds
1 tsp roasted cumin seed powder
1 finely chopped green chilly
Pinch of asafoetida (optional)
2 cup whole wheat flour for dough
Salt to taste
Recipe:
1. Chop the thoroughly washed spinach, onion and ginger.
2. To the whole wheat flour add all the ingredients and water to make a dough with a consistency right for paratha dough.
3. Once the dough is ready, leave it for 20-30 minutes. Make parathas as shown for the mathi paratha recipe here.
4. Enjoy with your choice of pickle (recipes here) or yoghurt.
