Ingredients:
1 cup split green lentil (kati chilake wali moong)
1/2 medium onion chopped
1-2 tblsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Recipe:
1. Soak the lentil for 30mins to an hour. Drain the water. Wash the lentil few times. Add chopped onion, ginger/garlic paste, green chilly (optional), salt, black pepper powder. Mix.
2. Add spoonful of the above mixture to preheated frying oil and cook evenly on both sides. Caution: the oil is really hot and splutter. Keep kids away and always maintain a clear, open space while frying.
3. Once cooked, transfer to paper towel lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve with chutney of your choice. Recipes here.
