Punjabi Garam Masala




Recipe: 
1 cup whole coriander seeds
1/4 cup whole cumin seeds
10-12 bay leaves
15-20 green cardamon
10-12 big cardamon
7-8 cloves
7-8 cinnamon sticks
5-6 mace 
2-3 tbsp whole black pepper
1 tbsp fennel seeds (optional)
1 tbsp Dried ginger (soond)
1-2 star anise


Recipe: 
1. Dry roast all the spices on preheated pan on medium heat for 4-5 minutes till a nice aroma starts filling the kitchen.


2. Cool the spices for 10-12 minutes and then grind in coffee grinder to fine consistency.

3. Seperate chunk spices from the ground mixture and regrind till fine powder is obtained. Fill in clean dry jar and use 1 tsp fresh homemade garam masala everytime with your curry.
